How do I make money online?

How can you make money online? Suppose you want to travel the world and work while doing so, or you just need a few extra bucks at home to cover the monthly expenses. Working online can be a solution for everyone.

When you take a look at my life and website(s) you can see how I have structured my newly begun life and new income, I was 52 when I started setting all this up and now at the age of 62 I am still up and running and traveling the world. It takes hard work, vision, focus, self-discipline and perseverance to create a new income stream for yourself. Quick money making online usually is a scam.  (read also: About JC from Holland)

There are many ways to make money online, here are some popular ones:

• Freelancing: Offer your services on platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, or Freelancer. You can offer your skills in areas such as writing, translating, manuscript typing, data entry, graphic design, programming, and more.
• Online selling: Sell products on platforms like Amazon, Etsy, or Ebay. You can sell physical products (drop shipping) or digital products such as e-books or courses, that you create yourself  Once up and running it creates a more passive style income. You can also start your own webshop, host a website and build a shop from there.This way you can combine being a freelancer sell your expertise in both articles and services and products.
• Affiliate marketing: Promote other people’s products and earn a commission for each sale made through your unique affiliate link. You can add that to the above mentioned website and have the best of all 3. That is what I am doing and I have included ads as well, and look at me, I am traveling the world.
• Online tutoring: Share your knowledge and expertise by offering online tutoring services. You can use platforms like Chegg or TutorMe. You can teach English online or any other language, some online teaching platform require little education as long as you are fluent.
• Content creation: Create and monetize videos, blog posts, or social media posts through ads, sponsorships, or affiliate marketing. This is the website I mentioned above where you can combine so much other stuff, like the webshop, offer you r services etc. Just take a look around on this website and my Dutch website that has an actual webshop to get some idea of what the possibilities are.
• Online surveys: Participate in market research by completing online surveys and get paid for your time. You can use platforms like Survey Junkie or Swagbucks. Now this will make a good additional income, I doubt you can really live from the income you earn by taking surveys, and I know the payment has a threshold that can make a steady income a bit difficult, in my experience thresholds always hold back money you are in need of now.
• Answer questions for money, now suppose you are an expert in some field, like a plumber or you can knit like a pro, or know all about stamps or gardening, cars or whatever. There are websites where people can ask questions and professionals will answer them , those are actually paid jobs. You get paid per answer, so you know exactly what you will earn and how much time you need to put in. You can also on a smaler scale answer questions on platforms like Quora, but the same with the surveys, this might not pay bills but just add a little income to your existing budget.

A few tips for online money making:

• spread your income, do not put all your eggs in one basket, if one job fails to pay out it is nice that you can rely on another job.
• Once you consider a website with a webshop might be right for you, please note that a little upfront investment of around 200US$ might be necessary, for domain-name, good fast reliable hosting and well coded theme. • When you consider using advertisement on your website to create more income, please remember how annoying it can be when you visit a website that is jammed with ads. Ads are valuable for you and your visitors when they are strategically placed and compliment your website’s layout and theme. You can do that with this plugin that offers a free and pro version. • And also it’s important to note that making money online requires time and effort, and there is no guaranteed income.

Be cautious of any opportunities that promise quick riches, as many of these are scams.
