I don’t know about you, but I simply love murals. Every corner I turn I look for surprises. And Cancun is an amazing place for murals. I may have done a post before on murals in Cancun. This city has so many that I keep being amazed. Various artists and topics, hidden gems in Downtown Cancun or in the areas not many tourists walk around. (Read: Awesome Murals in Cancun, street-art
The stories told by the artist in murals sometimes trigger new stories in my mind. All of them have a theme, a message, and a history. They are mostly colorful, sometimes private but mostly public. And like I said before: they are everywhere.
A few eyecatchers:
Take a good look at the little house, where does the house stop and the mural begin?
And how about the detail of the eye which of course of part of a larger mural?
And do not be fooled by the simplicity of the grey-ish mural, the lines and their complexity are amazing
I hope you enjoy the photos, if you click on an image it will pop up larger for you to see more closely.
